Ford 2.0L Thermostat Retaining Snap Ring

This special clip (snap ring) is designed to hold the thermostat inside the thermostat housing (water outlet neck) in the Ford 2.0L SOHC "Pinto" engine.

• One required per engine.
• Sold individually.
• Part # FT781C (Cross reference part # 171-57-CLIP)
• Sold together with the Thermostat Quad-Ring Seal (Part SC781B) and Water Outlet Gasket (Part FT781) in the Thermostat Housing Gasket Kit (Part FT782K), or sold separately.
• Note that the original Ford housing has been unavailable for many years. Some aftermarket or homemade housings may not have a groove to accept this clip.
