4002-SW; Camloc Split Ring Retaining Washer for Studs

This retaining washer is made to work with 4002 and D4002 Series Camloc studs to retain them in the grommets once installed:

• Retaining washer needed to keep the stud captive for Series 4002 studs -16 and longer and Series D4002 studs -5 and longer due to the use of the “short spring cup” on the studs.
• Material: Carbon Steel per QQ-S-700 or ASTM A684, 1075
• Finish: Cadmium Plate per QQ-P-416, Type II, Class 2
• Heat Treatment: Spring Temper.

Installation is similar to adding a key to your keyring. To install, slip the Retainer over the end of the stud shank so that it rests on the stud cross pin. Grasp one open end of the ring with a pair of needle-nose pliers and pull it down below the cross pin. Now turn the ring around the stud shank until the other open end falls under the cross pin.
