B-G Racing BGR700 3-Point Weld-On Steering Wheel Quick Release – 5/8″ Shaft
The B-G Racing quick release system lets you add or remove most aftermarket steering wheels from the column in seconds — making it far easier to get in and out of any race car, and letting you take the wheel with you in the paddock. This is the weld-on 3-point version with the 5/8″ (16mm) splined shaft, supplied with a steel shaft that welds directly to your steering column for a permanent, purpose-built installation.
Manufactured from high quality aircraft-grade aluminum with a hard-anodized inner splined hub for durability, paired with a 20mm steel splined 5/8″ (16mm) diameter shaft. This is the common shaft size for many formula cars and smaller-diameter steering columns.

Important Safety & Installation Notes
- Weld-on installation — professional fitment required. The splined shaft must be correctly welded to the steering column. This is a safety-critical structural joint; welding should be carried out by a competent, suitably experienced fabricator. Do not attempt installation unless properly trained in steering wheel/column installation and maintenance, and read the instruction manual first. Incorrect installation can lead to steering wheel failure, which can cause an accident resulting in serious personal injury or death.
- Airbag warning: replacing the steering wheel on a car equipped with airbags will disable the driver and any other airbags. For airbag-equipped cars, this system is intended for racing and show use only.
- Steering effort: a reduced-diameter steering wheel will increase driver steering effort.
