The HXAM-T series is Aurora’s high performance, high misalignment male rod end — PTFE lined and self-lubricating. The heat treated 4340 alloy steel body is protective coated for corrosion resistance, giving substantially higher load capacity than low carbon steel economy rod ends. The ball is heat treated, hard chrome plated alloy steel riding in a heat treated 17-4 PH stainless steel race with a permanently bonded AT 3200 PTFE liner, qualified to SAE-AS81820 Type A. The extended ball shoulder design (sometimes referred to as “necked”) delivers a 19° misalignment angle — roughly 5° more than standard-series rod ends — making the HXAM-8T ideal for suspension pickups, push/pull rods, and linkage joints where geometry demands extreme articulation without binding.
