The Lifeline Formula Car Quick Release Steering boss is pre-drilled with 3 holes on a 50.8mm (2″) PCD (Approx 44mm center of adjacent holes) & is a direct fit for many pre-drilled single seater/ sports car steering wheels. If your steering wheel is not pre-drilled, 10-32 holes and bolts can be used to affix to the steering wheel.
- The Lifeline range of quick release steering bosses are CNC manufactured using aircraft quality aluminum that is hard anodized for strength & durability.
- The bosses designed for motorsport are anodized gold in line with FIA requirements.
- Both male & female splines are precision gear cut to ensure an accurate fit with zero backlash while a master spline allows the wheel to be fitted in the same position every time.
- The male weld in spigot or slug is made from 20mm (0.784″) diameter EN 3B (SAE 1020) steel with a 6mm pilot hole through the center. If your steering shaft is larger than 7/8″, bore a 20mm hole in the steering shaft and insert the slug. If the steering column is also 20mm OD, just add a sleeve over both.
- This quick release design has been used by teams ranging from F1 to FV and everything in between. Great for any prototype or sports racer too.
- Excellent choice to be used with the MOMO 250mm Formula Steering Wheel w/ Cutaway Top- Mod. 12C.
- NOTE: Does not include electrical pin pass through options.
- Lifeline part # 410-100-001.
- For safety reasons the attachment of the spigot to the steering column should only be carried out by someone with excellent welding skills.
