PFC 7778 pad shape

This is the PFC 7778 pad shape for the AP Racing 6-piston GT caliper (Alcon 4495 / AP CP6210D54), available in two race compounds. Select the compound from the drop-down; the shape, dimensions and fitment are identical between them — only the friction material changes.
Choosing a compound
| Compound | Character | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| 331 | Degressive endurance — smooth bite, stable/degressive torque, excellent release, low wear. Long-standing endurance choice. | Endurance, ABS & non-ABS |
| 82 | Newer front endurance — very high initial bite, extremely low wear, stiff pedal, low effort, ABS-optimized. Debut win at 2023 24h Nürburgring. | Endurance & medium sprint, front axle |
331 — The 331 is PFC’s established endurance compound: a smooth initial bite with a stable, slightly degressive torque curve that tapers gently as temperature rises rather than spiking. That makes it easy to modulate and well suited to ABS cars, with excellent release and low pad and disc wear for long stints. A long-standing choice on pro endurance cars where avoiding a pad change in the pits matters.
82 — The 82 is PFC’s newer front endurance compound, which took a debut win at the 2023 24 Hours of Nürburgring and was quickly adopted across endurance sportscar racing. It is a degressive pad developed specifically to work with ABS for a smooth release and minimal lockups, and it has an extremely low wear rate — PFC positions it as their ultimate endurance option. A very high initial bite also makes it capable in medium-distance sprint use where ABS compatibility and low wear are wanted. Characterised by a stiff pedal, low pedal effort, and little drop in performance over the pad’s life. Front-axle application for GT sportscars and TCR.

Reading the part number
PFC race pads encode shape, compound and thickness in the number. On 7778.331.25.44 and 7778.82.25.44: 7778 is the pad shape (the AP CP6210D54 / Alcon 4495 form used in AP’s 6-piston GT caliper), the middle number (331 or 82) is the compound, and 25 is the pad thickness in millimeters.
Caliper & Vehicle Fitment
Fits the AP Racing 6-piston caliper (Alcon 4495 / AP CP6210D54 shape). Confirmed applications:
| Make | Model | Spec | Position |
|---|---|---|---|
| BMW | Z4 GT3 | Race – 30mm | GT3 |
| BMW | M235i / M240i Racing (F22/F23, 2014–2021) | Race | Front |
| Chevrolet | Corvette (2010 & up) GT2 | Race – 30mm | GT2 |
| Ford | Mustang (Multimatic) GT3 | Race – 30mm | GT3 |
| KTM | X-Bow GT4 (2015 & up) | Race – 25mm | Front |
| Lotus | Evora GTE | Race – 30mm | GTE |
Fitment is by caliper and pad shape, not just make and model — if your car runs the Alcon 4495 or AP CP6210D54 caliper, this pad fits. When in doubt, measure your existing pad against the 163 × 53 mm footprint and 25mm thickness, or send us your caliper part number.

Notes
- Sold as a complete axle set (4 pads).
- The 82 is a front-axle endurance compound — confirm front/rear use for your car before ordering a full car’s worth.
- Bed the pads in per PFC’s procedure before hard use.
- Race pad — for track and competition use.
