Compound in This Listing

  • 01 — All-Purpose Benchmark. PFC’s legendary all-purpose race compound and the benchmark others are judged against. Good initial bite with very little torque rise as temperature climbs, low torque scatter at the end of the stop for strong modulation, excellent release, low wear and good disc conditioning. In many current applications 01 is superseded by 11.

How PFC Compounds Compare

PFC groups its race compounds by job. Understanding where a compound sits helps you pick the right one for your car and track:

  • High bite / high torque: 13 (and the older 35 / 07 / 05 / 03 / 93 / 83). Maximum initial bite for high-grip and downforce cars.
  • Sprint / medium distance: 11 (replacing the legendary 01 / 99 / 90). The control-and-modulation group, ABS-friendly, widest temperature window.
  • High temperature / endurance: 08 and 12. Longest wear and best high-heat stability for long stints.

As a rule of thumb: step up to 13 for more bite on a grippy track or a heavy/downforce car; stay with 11 for the best control, modulation and ABS behavior on medium- to low-grip venues; choose 08 when heat and pad life over a long race are the priority.
