Compounds in This Listing

• 08 — High-Temperature Endurance. One of PFC’s endurance compounds and among the longest-wearing pads they make. A slight, predictable friction rise with temperature, excellent release and modulation, and very low disc wear. Built for sustained high-temperature endurance and GT use; below about 950°F the 12 compound can be used for even longer life.
• 11 — Sprint / Medium-Distance Control. Developed from the 01 compound for sprint and medium-distance racing, with improved bite, modulation and release. Ultra-smooth, tuned to reduce wheel lock at the end of a stop, and works across a wide temperature range — a favourite where ABS is used. Wear is on par with 01 with superior disc conditioning. Best where control and modulation matter most: medium- to low-grip venues, spec tires, and lighter cars without big downforce.
• 13 — Ultimate High Bite / High Torque. PFC’s ultimate high-bite, high-torque compound. Strong bite in the first third of the stop, a very high fade threshold, and it will run at higher temperatures when asked. Ultra-smooth with excellent modulation despite the aggression. Ideal for high-grip tracks and downforce cars. Wear is on par with the 01 compound, with some of the lowest taper wear among high-bite pads in a properly designed caliper.

How PFC Compounds Compare

PFC groups its race compounds by job. Understanding where a compound sits helps you pick the right one for your car and track:

• High bite / high torque: 13 (and the older 35 / 07 / 05 / 03 / 93 / 83). Maximum initial bite for high-grip and downforce cars.
• Sprint / medium distance: 11 (replacing the legendary 01 / 99 / 90). The control-and-modulation group, ABS-friendly, widest temperature window.
• High temperature / endurance: 08 and 12. Longest wear and best high-heat stability for long stints.

As a rule of thumb: step up to 13 for more bite on a grippy track or a heavy/downforce car; stay with 11 for the best control, modulation and ABS behaviour on medium- to low-grip venues; choose 08 when heat and pad life over a long race are the priority.
