Aurora PNB-T & PNB-TG Series Narrow Spherical Bearings, PTFE Lined Self-Lubricating, 5/16″ to 3/4″ Bore, Plain or Grumman Groove
Price range: $34.26 through $60.97
Aurora PNB-T & PNB-TG Narrow Series Spherical Bearings
Genuine Timken Aurora narrow series spherical bearings, PTFE lined and self‑lubricating. The narrow series carries a narrower ball and race than the wide PWB series for the same bore, giving a more compact envelope where installation space is tight — static radial load capacity to 46,400 lb (206.4 kN) on the -12.
Aurora bearings provide the ultimate in strength, durability, and safety. Aurora spherical bearings are unsurpassed in motorsports, aviation, aerospace, marine, or industrial use!

Construction
- Ball — alloy steel, heat treated, hard chrome plated
- Race — 17-4 PH stainless steel, heat treated, PTFE lined
- PTFE liner — AT 3200, permanently bonded to the race inside diameter and self‑lubricating
Typical uses and applications
Narrow series spherical bearings are specified wherever a joint must carry high static load through articulation in a compact envelope. Common uses include:
- Motorsports — damper (shock) mounts, bellhousing/gearbox linkages, pushrod and pull rod ends, bellcrank pivots, steering and suspension links
- Chassis‑specific fitments
- PNB-5T is used in many damper (shock) connections to bellhousing/gearbox, including on Ligier JS F3 cars
- PNB-10T is used in Citation chassis wishbones
- Chassis‑specific fitments
- Experimental aviation and aerospace — control linkages, actuator rod ends and flight control bellcranks
- Robotics and unmanned systems — articulated joints, gimbals and actuator pivots where maintenance access is limited
- Marine and light industrial — steering linkages, hydraulic cylinder ends and pivoting machinery joints
Plain or Grumman groove
The standard bearing (no “G” suffix) is retained with a circlip or snap ring, not supplied. Where the bearing is staked into the housing, choose the Grumman groove version — the G at the end of the part number — which is swaged in place using a narrow series swaging tool. The groove does not reduce the static load rating, and circlip installations can use either version.
