Lightweight alloy aluminum starter for Van Diemen Formula Ford/ F1600 cars that use a Mk 8/9 Hewland Gearbox. Offset gear-reduced starter motor, delivering huge cranking torque through a set of steel internal gears.

• These cars require a different starter than the F2000 car because of the different flywheel ring gear (most often 135 teeth).
