6-bolt Blue anodized 7075 T6 grade aluminum-zinc alloy tripod housing complete with three hardened grade 4130 HRCV 48-50 steel race inserts. Inserts are removable:
- Thickness: 40mm. Allows for ample plunging of the tripod joint and driveshaft.
- Diameter: 94mm
- Weight: 0.85lbs / 13.6oz / 0.386kg. Reduced weight versus all steel housings.
- 6-bolt 8mm dia bolt holes for fitment to gearbox, most commonly the Hewland LD200 and JL200.
- Fits most FF1600 and F2000 Van Diemen’s from ’00-up as well as many ’90-’99 cars, Citation’s, and MZR powered Elan DP08’s. Will fit many other cars such as sports racers that utilize the Hewland LD200 or JL200 gearbox.
- Steel race inserts can be purchased separately and replaced when worn through use via part number 93D0007. Housing uses three inserts.
- Tripod journal joint assembly that fit this housing is Part Number: F3D920040
- Compatible with Aero CV Boot 99D2015.
- Driveshaft spring that allows tripod and driveshaft to plunge and keeps the assembly “floating” and spaced properly is part: 99D2100.
- We recommend GKN tripod joint grease MS9 U025.
