Wilwood’s complete AERO6-ST big brake front kit (P/N 140-14978), engineered for dedicated road racing on 2001–2006 BMW E46 M3 models using the factory disc spindle. This is a bolt-on big brake package built for unrestricted road race competition — mounting brackets secure the calipers to the stock spindle location, with minor dust shield modifications required for clearance. This kit requires 18-inch or larger wheels; always check the wheel clearance diagram in the installation instructions before ordering. The kit pairs AERO6-ST six-piston radial-mount calipers with a forged aluminum body and Type III Mil-Spec hard anodized finish for superior wear resistance and corrosion resistance in the piston bores. Thermlock® pistons reduce heat transfer from the pads to increase fade resistance and extend service life by decreasing temperatures in the caliper body, fluid, and seals. Internal damper springs and controlled-retraction, high-temperature piston seals assure consistent pedal height from start to finish. Spec-37 alloy 14.00″ GT 72 curved-vane, GT slotted directional rotors are dynamically mounted to forged aluminum, black e-coat hats. The system is completed with high-temperature, high-friction BP-35 race compound pads (6620 plate, .80″ thick) and stainless steel braided flexlines, bleed screws, and hat mounting hardware — everything needed for a complete front axle installation.
