Aerolite four-piston calipers are coupled with the high heat capacity of dynamically mounted 14.00in Spec-37 alloy rotors for consistent, responsive braking on Corvette C5/C6 and Cadillac XLR-based race cars, autocross, and track day cars. GT rotors with 72 staggered directional vanes shed heat and float on lightweight forged aluminum hats via Wilwood’s Dynamic Lug Drive mount system to further reduce thermal stress. The kit ships complete with high temperature, high friction BP-35 SmartPads selected for exceptional driver control with DOT tires and limited downforce.

The radial-mount Aerolite caliper uses a forged aluminum body with a Type III Mil-Spec hard anodized finish and a closed bridge to reduce deflection. The wide-body race version accepts 20mm pads for longer service life. Aluminum Thermlock pistons with stainless steel shields further protect brake fluid from heat compared to OE aluminum or steel pistons, and internal springs with high-temperature piston seals reduce knockback for a more consistent pedal feel. Caliper pistons are sized for full compatibility with the factory master cylinder and ABS controls, and mounting brackets with premium-grade hardware secure the calipers in the stock location. Requires a stainless steel braided flexline, sold separately and specific to model year.

Important Notes

• This kit’s caliper, rotor, hat, and hardware BOM is also used on the 2004–2010 Cadillac XLR (identical Wilwood part numbers to the Corvette C5/C6 application).
• Wheel mounting pad must not exceed 6.00in to fit the hat’s inset area.
• Requires a stainless steel braided flexline, sold separately: 220-8176 (1997-2004 C5) or 220-9100 (2005+ C6).
