Wilwood 150-D0635K ProMatrix Brake Pads – Front, Mazda Miata
Wilwood ProMatrix dual-sport performance brake pads — the easy braking upgrade for drivers who want stronger, more fade-resistant stopping without giving up quiet, clean, street-friendly manners. Part number 150-D0635K is the front axle set that fits the stock front calipers on the 1994–2005 Mazda Miata (NA and NB), improving braking as simply as replacing a set of worn-out pads.
ProMatrix is Wilwood’s most versatile dual-sport compound: a medium-friction, moderate-temperature material with a smooth but aggressive initial response and a low wear rate. It bumps up friction and heat-fade resistance over standard replacement pads while staying quiet, low-dust, and easy on your rotors — so the same car that commutes during the week can handle an autocross or track day on the weekend without swapping pads. High performance street and track compound with increased friction and a wider temperature range over BP-10.
Why ProMatrix?
- True dual-sport compound — genuine street drivability with the friction and heat range to handle aggressive driving on OE calipers
- Smooth but aggressive initial bite with a positive, progressive pedal
- Higher fade resistance than stock or economy replacement pads when the brakes get hot
- Quiet, low-dust, non-ceramic formula — low wheel maintenance and no squeal-and-grime tradeoff
- Low rotor abrasion — long rotor and pad life
- A direct, bolt-in set for the factory Miata front calipers — no brackets, no modifications
Fitment
- Mazda Miata / MX-5 NA (1994–1997) — front, stock calipers
- Mazda Miata / MX-5 NB (1999–2005) — front, stock calipers
- Front axle set — pair with 150-D0636K for the matching ProMatrix rear pads
- Fits the stock OE front caliper; also compatible with Wilwood pad shape D635 applications
- Includes 8 x caliper abutment clips
Note: the 1990–1993 Miata uses a smaller front disc/caliper — confirm your year and caliper before ordering. For the later NC (2006+) Miata, Wilwood uses a different ProMatrix pad (150-D1179K front). Ask us if you’re unsure which set fits your car.

Good To Know
- Bed them in. Like all performance pads, ProMatrix pads need a proper bedding-in procedure to lay down an even transfer layer and reach full performance. Follow Wilwood’s burnish procedure on fresh pads (and ideally fresh or deglazed rotors).
- Dual-sport, not a dedicated race pad. ProMatrix is the right call for street cars that see occasional track use. For a dedicated track/race Miata that lives at high brake temperatures, a higher-temperature Wilwood compound (e.g. PolyMatrix) may suit better — ask us.
- Sold as a front-axle set. Order the rear set (150-D0636K) at the same time if you’re refreshing all four corners.
