Aurora AM-T & AB-T Series Male Rod Ends, PTFE Lined Self-Lubricating, 1/4″ to 1/2″ Bore, RH & LH Thread

Price range: $27.74 through $45.64

Aurora AM-T & AB-T Series Male Rod Ends

Genuine Timken Aurora high strength alloy male rod ends, PTFE lined and self‑lubricating. AM denotes right hand thread, AB left hand. Ultimate radial static load capacity from 2,851 lb (12.7 kN) on the -3 up to 76,200 lb (339.0 kN) on the -16.

These are among the most widely specified rod ends in club and professional racing: high strength for the price, and notably resistant to loosening under the sustained impact loading of a race weekend.

Construction

  • Body — alloy steel, heat treated, protective coated for corrosion resistance
  • Ball — alloy steel, heat treated, hard chrome plated
  • Race — low carbon steel, protective coated for corrosion resistance, PTFE lined
  • Threads — UNF‑3A male shank

Typical uses and applications

Male rod ends are used wherever a threaded link must articulate under load without free play. Common uses include:

  • Formula and sports racing — suspension links, pushrods and pull rods, steering, anti‑roll bar drop links, shift linkages and shock mounts
  • Sway bar end links — a common fitment on saloon and sports cars
  • Experimental aviation and aerospace — control linkages, actuator rod ends and flight control bellcranks
  • Robotics, drones and unmanned systems — articulated joints and actuator pivots where maintenance access is limited
  • Marine and light industrial — steering linkages, hydraulic cylinder ends and pivoting machinery joints

Studded configuration

A studded version is available to order on any size — specify by adding the suffix S to the part number, for example AM-8TS. Contact us to order.
