Wilwood 170-17005 Big Brake Dynamic Lug Drive Hat – Short Offset

Genuine Wilwood Big Brake Dynamic Lug Drive hat, 0.425″ offset, as used (qty 2, one per side) in the 140-18191 AERO6 big brake front kit for the 2020-2025 Chevrolet Corvette C8. Wilwood’s Lug-Drive hats use a rotor mounting system that eliminates rotor bolts and lets the rotor move independently of the hat as it expands and contracts through heat cycles. All thermally generated stress is removed from the rotor attachment points, so the rotor stays flatter, runs truer, and brake response and pedal feel remain consistent lap after lap.

Spring-loaded, replaceable stainless steel inserts in each lug-drive slot protect the aluminum hat from wear caused by brake torque loading. A large, single snap-ring retains the rotor in the hat, making assembly and installation quick, with no need to torque or safety-wire rotor mounting bolts.

• Sold individually – two (2) hats are needed for a complete front axle installation.
• Requires the 300-14913 Dynamic Lug Mount Clip & Snap Ring Kit for rotor mounting (sold by Wilwood separately, not currently stocked by Formula Race Parts).
• Pairs with the 160-18082-B left hand / 160-18081-B right hand rotors and 120-13300 left hand / 120-13299 right hand calipers in the 140-18191 kit.
